Finally the garden begin to awake after the gloomy winter.

Langsam beginnt der Garten wieder in verschiedenen Farben zu erwachen ,nach dem triesten Winter.

" Autumn storm ... / Herbststurm ... "

Last Monday (October 28th) swept heavy autumn storm named "Christian" over the northern part of Germany and he left behind a lot of desolations. 

At my younger daughter´s school had the storm a old big birch tree disrooted and the tree is fallen over.

It is really scary to see how strong and impressing at once at the same moment are forces of nature!

Letzte Woche Montag (28.Oktober) fegte ja der Sturm " Christian " über Norddeutschland und hat seine Spuren hinterlassen. So auch an der Schule meiner jüngeren Tochter. Dort fiel eine große alte Birke, dem Sturm zum Opfer und hat ,zum Glück , nur einen Sachschaden hinterlassen.

Es ist schon erschreckend und eindrucksvoll zugleich zu sehen ,was da für Kräfte bei Naturgewalten wirken ...

" Apple picking ... / Apfelernte ... "

... at the Alten Land / ... im Alten Land

Yesterday we went apple picking at the " Alten Land ". 

Each year to the harvest time you can (gather) pick apples from the trees by yourself.
It´s a lot of fun to pick the apples by yourself ...and the most important you know  where the apples come from. 
They don´t have a long journey around the world behind them ... as in the Supermarkets.

The most of the agricultural space in “the Altes Land” are apple plantations.
 The rest of the fruits which are planted here are cherrys, pears, plums and berries. Some of the farms offer guided tours and other touristic offers like “apple picking”.

“Das alte Land - the old land ” belongs to the Bundesland Hamburg and the nearby Bundesland Niedersachsen and is about 30km away from the city of Hamburg. It’s one of the biggest apple growing areas in Germany.

Gestern waren wir im "Alten Land " zur Apfelernte. Jedes Jahre,zur Erntezeit,fahren wir dorthin um selber Äpfel von den Bäumen zu ernten. Das macht nicht nur Spaß,sondern man weiß auch woher sie kommen und sie haben nicht schon einen Flug um die halbe Welt hinter sich.

~ Baltic Sea / Ostsee ~

Unfortunately I have such a view very rarely ... because I live too far away in a big city.

 I wish I could change my housing situation .

So einen Anblick/Ausblick habe ich leider viel zu selten,denn man wohnt zu weit weg davon. Ich wünschte ich könnte in einen Ort am Meer umziehen ... und beneide Jeden der dies kann bzw. dort wohnt.

Actually today official  the beginning of spring ... ... but the looks of it we have still to waiting longer!

Eigentlich soll ja heute offizieller Frühlingsanfang sein ... aber wie es im Moment aussieht dauert´s wohl noch ein bisschen !

... a very beautiful landscape to every season / ... schön zu jeder Jahreszeit

... will destroyed a small piece of green space in a big city...

On a very small localized piece of meadow arise 3 row houses!

And the architectural style (building style)doesn´t fits  to the building style of the houses in our street !The small piece of meadow the residents used as convivial gatherings as street parties or as space for football for the children.

... wird ein Stückchen Grünfläche in einer Großstadt zerstört ...

Auf einem

 sehr kleinen Stückchen Wiese entstehen nun 3 Reihenhäuser ! Das kleine Stück Grünfläche wurde gern für gesellige Zusammenkünfte der Anwohner(z.B. Straßenfeste) und für die Kinder als Spielfläche für Fußball genutzt.

Und der Baustil der neuen Häuser passt überhaupt nicht zum Baustil der Häuser in unserer Straße!

~ Ostrich farm / Straußenfarm ~

in Hohenfelde

by the Baltic Sea - an der Ostsee

It was purely coincidental that we have discovered on our daytrip to Baltic Sea a  

direction sign to this ostrich farm. Spontaneous we have decided to visit this ostrichfarm and it was a good decision!

Durch Zufall entdeckten wir auf unserem Tagesausflug an einer Straße ein Hinweisschild zu dieser Straußenfarm. Spontan haben wir uns dann zu einem Abstecher auf diese Farm entschlossen und es war eine gute Entscheidung!Neben einem Hofladen mit angeschlossener Gaststätte (verschiedene Gerichte vom Strauß - auch zum Draußenessen - sehr lecker!)gibt es auch eine Straußenaufzuchtsfarm(gegen Gebühr) zu besichtigen .Parkmöglichkeiten sind auch vorhanden.Außerdem ist die Farm landschaftlich toll gelegen - direkt an der Ostsee - toll für Spaziergänge!

The beach section "California " is a district of  Schoeneberg.

Schoeneberg  is a municipality in Schleswig Holstein (federal state) by the Baltic Sea.

The weather were perfect - pleasant temperatures ,no wind,white sand beach,blue sky with white clouds,sunshine and blue Sea ... and absolute calm.

What a great piece of earth to chill (relax), to collect one´s thoughts and to recharge one's batteries !

But the best time to visiting this place is out of the holiday seasons before the flow of tourists in summer.

Wir haben einen Tagesausflug an den Strand in Kalifornien gemacht.

Der Strandabschnitt "Kalifornien" ist ein Ortsteil der Gemeinde Schöneberg an der Ostsee im Bundesland Schleswig-Holstein und ein wunderschönes Fleckchen Erde zum Entspannen und neue Kraft zu tanken (außerhalb der Ferienzeiten und Touristenströme im Sommer).

Gestern war das Wetter einfach perfekt für so einen Strandausflug - kaum Wind,Sonnenschein ,weiße Wölkchen ,angenehme Temperaturen - und schön ruhig!

" Straight along the coast ... / Immer die Küste entlang ... "

... went our daytrip last Thursday.

First we drove along the North Sea coast and made a stopp at the Lighthouse Westerhever.The autumn showed us on this day his best side - windless,pleasant temperatures ,brightly blue sky and sunshine pure.

Thereafter we drove towards Denmark to Sonderborg and from there along the Baltic Sea coast back to home.And at end of the day we were still rewarded with a awesome sunset.

... ging unser Tagesausflug am letzten Donnerstag.

Zuerst fuhren wir entlang der Nordsee-Küste und legten einen Stopp am Leuchtturm Westerhever ein.Das Wetter an diesem Herbsttag war einfach traumhaft schön - windstill,strahlender blauer Himmel,Sonne satt und angenehme Temperaturen.Perfekt!

Danach ging es weiter in Richtung Dänemark nach Sonderborg und von dort aus ,entlang der Ostsee-Küste,wieder nach Hause.Und am Ende des Tages wurden wir noch mit einem wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang belohnt.

... and off into the nature !
I am happy about each day when I can leave the city and I enjoy every minute away from there. I love the SEA !

By the Sea I feel me free,have more energy, silence and breathing space!

I wish I could live by the sea.We enjoyed our day trip by the sea(to island Fehmarn) at best weather.The weather was the best weather on Easter since years !

... und ab in die Natur !

Ich persönlich bin immer froh über jeden Tag,wenn ich die Großstadt verlassen kann und genieße jede Minute außerhalb der Stadt!Das Wetter war genial für einen Tagesausflug und das beste Osterwetter seit Jahren !So ging es dann in Richtung Fehmarn!

Ich liebe das Meer !Am Meer fühle ich mich einfach besser,habe mehr Energie,Ruhe und Platz zum Atmen. Ich wünschte ich könnte da leben ...
