Waiting for departure Happy Skywatch Friday everyone !
Here are my photos of these week ...
Last weekend the Hamburg airport celebrated his 100th birthday. To this festivities landed the A380 in Hamburg. That´s very impressive live to see.
On Tuesday evening we drove our older daughter Anne to airport. She flew for 3 weeks to South Africa. This time only for holiday/vacation not as in 2009 for a whole year!At that time she was a whole year as volunteer at a school in Cape Town.
Nevertheless it is very difficult each time for me as mom to say Goodbye ! |

Great collection of photos and fun to see how an airport celebrates a birthday, good luck to your daughter on the journey
Your daughter is a good person to do so much volunteering. Lovely snaps.
Saying goodbye is very difficult. My youngest daughter lives in Australia and every time when I visit her we have to face taking leave and it is always heartbreaking. She has lived there since 1994.
Thanks for sharing your photos.
What wonderful things your daughter has been doing! Our world needs more like her. Nevertheless, saying goodbye is never easy. I have four children who live all over the country and it is always hard to hide the tears when we have to say goodbye! Lovely skies and wonderful captures as always, Xavi! Hope you have a great weekend!

Wonderful shots. Hope your daughter has a good trip.
Fantastic shots, nice variety.
I know how hard it is to say goodbye to a daughter. These are all fantastic sky shots and I also like the shots of your daughter very much.
Hi Steffi, I like your description of the cauliflower clouds!
I feel how you feel, when Anne leaves for vacation. My daughter is leaving in October for 2 weeks.
Let's stay in touch! Enjoy your weekend!
I love that second shot the most.
I absolutely love your second shot!
Nice to meet a compatriot ! I have never been to Hamburg, although I am German. I am living in Belgium now since 1959, when I moved here with my parents. I only know well the Rheinland, weil ich in Bonn gewohnt habe. Nothern Germany I don't know at all, but it is on my travel list !
Nice collections of pics.
Nice photos.
Regards and best wishes
have a good time in my home town Anna....3 weeks will fly by so make every moment count...DO NOT SWIM AT FISH HOEK BEACH :)
As you know from visiting my blog, I am partial to blue skies these days. Yours are lovely, especially the big cauliflower cloud. Our family lives so spread out in the world, I don't think we give goodbyes a second thought any more... we know we'll see each other again soon. Yet I'm sure Anne appreciates knowing you care. Lucky her to be going to Cape Town!
Nice shot of the A380! It is an impressive airplane. Your daughter saw a lot of sky getting to South Africa.
the 3rd photo looks like a tornado marvelous shots. sorry for the late visit.
I bet it is difficult I hope she has a wonderful time and it will be wonderful to meet all her friends again Great photos
Ja, der A380 ist schon ein Brummer. Hier geht die Landebahn an einer Stelle direkt ueber die Autobahn und so ein Brummer fuhr gerade darueber - wir haben uns etwas erschrocken!
Viel Spass deiner Grossen in South Africa!
