Heute fand ein großes Feuerwerk und eine gigantische Lasershow zum Anlass einer Schiffstaufe statt.Es wurde ein neues Kreuzfahrtschiff getauft, das Clubschiff "AidAdiva". In den Tageszeitungen und im Fernsehen wurde berichtet,daß es die größte Schiffstaufe der Welt sein soll.Über 200.000 Menschen waren an der Elbe um an dieser Schiffstaufe teilzunehmen.Wir hatten leider keine Chance das Schiff zu sehen,so haben wir aus der Ferne das Feuerwerk und die Lasershow gesehen.Aus der Entfernung war es trotzdem ein tolles Feuerwerk und eine gigantische Lasershow.Leider sind meine Foto´s nicht so toll geworden._________________________________________________
Today evening was large firework and a gigantic Lasershow took place for the cause of a ship baptism. A new cruise ship was baptized, the club ship “AidAdiva”. At the news they said that´s will be the biggest ship baptism of the world.
Over 200.000 peoples were to be participated in the Elbe over in this ship baptism. We had unfortunately no chance to see the ship, then we saw from the distance the fireworks the and lasershow.That was really nice to see.Unfortunately my pictures are not so good!

ich habe vorhin Bilder live im Fernsehen gesehen. Die Lasershow war vor Ort bestimmt sehr beeindruckend. Ich habe das ganze bequem und warm am Fernseher gesehen, aber die Atmosphäre war bei Euch natürlich viel feierlicher. Ich dachte zuerst ich hätte den Hafengeburtstag im Fernsehen und mich als Hamburgerin über mich gewundert, dass ich dies schon wieder nicht mitbekommen hätte... Ich hoffe Hamburg erhält am Wochenende wieder schönes Frühlingwetter.

At least you were able to see the fireworks Steffi. Our firework display in March was cancelled due to the weather.

I luv the display - what even looks like the "Northern Lights" display.
The photo's of the cherry blossom trees (I hope that is what they are?) look stunning too.

Its too bad you couldn't see what all the fuss was about...but at least you got to see the celebration. Looks like it would have been quite something to see.
That lazer show looks cool. Kinda neat to see at least a small part of a historic event.
